In April of 2011 soprano Marcy Richardson produced a wondeful ‘Handeljam’ of Handel Seconda Donna arias. It was a live recording session, presented by operamission and Neke Carson in the Living Room at the Gershwin Hotel, featuring the operamission HANDEL BAND, including baroque violinists Joan Plana and Tatiana Daubek, baroque violist Audrey Selph, and my first time collaborating with the fabulous baroque cellist Beiliang Zhu on continuo. Ryan Streber was the audio engineer; we had a wonderful audience of 30+, which was exactly what the doctor ordered for this very special event. Here are some samples of the beautiful recordings.
